Netpay gives estimates, not tax or legal advice. What the calculator assumes for each country and what it does not cover.

Information, not advice
Netpay and its guides give general information about income tax and social contributions, taken from official sources that are linked on each page. They are not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. If a figure matters for a decision, check the authority's page or ask a qualified adviser.
Estimates for a standard situation
Each country uses a stated standard situation: an employee with one salary, no other income, no special deductions and no benefits in kind. The country pages list what is not modelled. Results are rounded and monthly figures are one twelfth of the yearly figure, which is not how every employer pays or withholds.
Where results can differ from a payslip
Differences come from tax codes and cards, bonuses and holiday pay, pension and insurance schemes, the way your employer rounds, corrections made during the year and the final assessment after the tax year. A tax return can increase or decrease what you finally pay compared with withholding.
Rates and dates
Rates, thresholds and allowances change by law. Each country page shows the date it was checked against the official documents. Netpay uses the 2026 rules (the 2026/27 tax year for the UK) and will be updated when the authorities publish new figures.
